Your live a blessed life, getting a bettry temperature above 120 deg F causes sulfation of the plates and that leads to shorter battery life. If it boils out there is a good chance of warping the plates or breaking them so the batteries capacity is less. Plus the mess the mist causes as it will eat the paint off nearly every thing is gets on. Always longer and less amps is better, don't let the battery get past warm to the touch. Add distilled water or at least de-mineralized water unless your tap water is chemical free to bring the fluid level back to the upper mark before charging. Please wear at least glasses when messing with batteries that have been recently dis-charged or charged they can explode when the clips are discinnected.if the charger is not off. Face shield is even better. Max
